For local and service businesses

The AI names three local businesses. Be one of them.

When a customer asks ChatGPT for the best mobile vet, dentist or plumber near them, it names a few businesses and stops. There is no second page. StarRise shows whether you're on that short list, and the simple fixes that help you get there.

Why local is different

Short lists leave no room

A search results page shows a map and a long list. An AI answer gives three names with a reason for each. If you're not one of the three, the customer never hears of you.

Local is where AI search bites first, because "near me" questions have the shortest answers. The good news: the businesses AI names are often the ones whose websites answer the question clearly, with real details.

AI answer · example

Best mobile vet near me that does home visits for cats?

  • Vet A, home visits seven days a week.
  • Vet B, cat-only practice with house calls.
  • Vet C, same-day appointments in most neighborhoods.
  • Your business: not in the answer.

What you find out

Plain answers about your business

No marketing degree needed. Each report answers four questions.

  • Does AI name me? Your AI Readiness Score from 0 to 100, and how often you appear when customers ask.
  • Who does it name instead? A ranking of you against the competitors down the road, so you know who's taking the customer.
  • What does it say about me? How AI describes your business in its own words. If something is wrong or out of date, you see it.
  • What should I fix? On Starter, Top Recommendations: the few changes most likely to get you named, in plain words.

Simple first steps

Five things you can do this month

You don't need to rebuild your website. Most of these take an afternoon, and some take your web person ten minutes.

  • Get the free report. Enter your website. Within one business day you'll see your score, a competitor, and how ChatGPT describes you.
  • Let AI search crawlers in. Some website builders and security settings block AI crawlers by default. Ask your web person to check. It's often a five-minute fix. See which crawlers to allow.
  • Put real details on your pages. Years in business, jobs completed, response times, prices or price ranges, areas you serve. AI quotes facts and skips vague claims.
  • Answer the questions customers ask. Give each service and each area its own page with a clear answer near the top: what you do, where, for whom, and when you're open.
  • Show up where AI looks. AI engines often cite review sites, local directories and community threads. Keep your listings accurate and answer real questions as yourself.

Set expectations

Changes to your own site show up as AI engines re-read it, typically within a few weeks. Being mentioned on other sites takes a couple of months. Nobody can promise you a spot, and we won't.

FAQ

Questions local owners ask

Does AI search really matter for a local business?

It's where AI search bites first. "Best mobile vet near me" or "best dosa place in Plano" gets an answer with about three names. If you're not one of them, you were never in the running. Local is exactly where the lists are short.

Do I have to be technical?

No. The report tells you what to fix in plain words. The technical items, like crawler settings, are small jobs for whoever manages your website. The rest is writing clear, specific pages about what you do.

How much of my time does it take?

About ten minutes to set up: enter your website and confirm the competitors and questions StarRise finds. After that, you read a short report. The time goes into the fixes, and you choose which ones are worth it.

What if it says I'm already doing fine?

Then you know, and you can keep it that way. AI answers change when a competitor updates their site. On Starter, a re-run on the same questions shows a drop when it happens.

Can it make AI say something wrong about my business?

No. StarRise doesn't change what the engines say. It shows you what they say today, so if something is wrong or out of date, you can fix the source, like your website or your listings.
